Vape kits have evolved as vaping becomes a new lifestyle for former smokers. Tech Booms have taken place every day. One of the most noticeable changes is the transition from standard coils to mesh coils. Are mesh coils vapes better than ever? How will mesh coil improve your vaping experience? Let's check it now:
1. What is Mesh Coil Vape?
Before the invention of mesh coils, vapers only had access to the standard coil, which is also referred to as a singular vertical coil. A standard vape coil is a single strand of wire wrapped into a coil, which resembles a spring.
Fortunately, mesh coil is quite the opposite. Although these two types share similar materials and production, a mesh coil has a structure of flattened mesh or net pattern. The surface area is larger and the holes spread on the mesh coil increase the efficiency of wicking.
2. Are Mesh Coils Better?
Compared with mesh coils, the shortcomings of standard coils are obvious. The surface area of the coil in contact with cotton is small. As a result, the heat distribution is uneven. The center of the coil is hotter than the edge. You would either burn the coil prematurely or get flavors that are far from satisfactory.
Mesh coil is totally a different story. The mesh pattern enlarges the surface area in contact with wicking material and thus ensures even heating. The holes spread on the mesh coil help the wicking material (mostly cotton) consistently saturate the e-liquid as well. With a mesh coil, you may avoid burning vapes or flooding pods too.
