The Aspire Minican + Kit is an update to the earlier Minican kit.
So apart from the obvious styling updates what else has changed? Let's chect it now!!
What To Expect From The Aspire Minican + Kit…
As with the previous version the kit has 2 main components – the pod (or tank) and mod (or battery).
Thankfully the pod is compatible with the previous Minican kit and you have a choice of 3 different coil resistances to choose from:
- 1ohm coil
- 1.2ohm coil
- 0.8ohm coil (included in kit)
Also the pods come in 3ml versions (as standard) or 2ml for TPD regulated areas.
The coil is not replaceable so you simply discard the pod when the coil performance deteriorates – no messy coil changes to contend with.
A bottom fill port gives access for refilling.
Inside the mod is a 850mAh internal battery which is recharged via the USB Type C port. This is a huge upgrade from the 350mAh battery found in the original device.
The original had a “bypass” output – which means it just provided the power from the battery – therefore the output could decrease as the battery charge dropped. However the + version has a constant output of 3.7V so there should be no fluctuation in performance.
Controlling the device is the ASP chipset – similar to that found in larger Aspire kits and this provides plenty of user protections to keep you safe.
Operation is simple as this uses an auto draw sensor which when you inhale triggers the fire system.
An LED indicator is provided but it is not specified what this will display – hopefully it gives some indication of battery charge status!
There are 5 Semi-transparent colour options to choose from: Black, Red, Green, Orange and Blue.

This is marketed as a “Cost Efficient Pod System” and the updates I think make this even more of an option for those who want a simple starter pod kit.
